About the course

Communication offers a critical analysis of food and culture in print, film, photography, television, the visual arts, and digital media. Courses examine the portrayal of food in media, past and present, with an emphasis on writing and communications.

　　The master’s degree in Gastronomy at BU MET is an opportunity be at the forefront of these important societal changes as a critical thinker who can research and document contemporary and historical issues through the lens of food and food customs. How to apply

Entry requirements for Boston University

TOEFL iBT:- 84 ( minimum scores in Reading—21, minimum scores in Listening—18, minimum scores in Speaking—23, minimum scores in Writing—22)

　　IELTS:- 6.5

　　Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Candidates for admission to the degree program are selected on the basis of academic transcripts, academic and professional references, and the required application essay.

　　A completed Application for Graduate Admission

　　Three letters of recommendation. It is required that one be an academic reference if you graduated or engaged in post-graduate education in the past three years

　　You must supply the name and email address of your recommenders in order to submit your application. Recommendations must be received before your application can be reviewed.

　　A personal statement (short essay discussing your motivation for study)

　　A current résumé
