About the course
A partnership between NYU Steinhardt's Department of Nutrition and Food Studies and Long Island University?s Palmer School, this dual degree enables you to earn an MA in Food Studies and an MSLIS in Library and Information Science. Given most research centers require librarians to have an MSLIS and a master?s in a subject area, this dual degree provides an efficient career pathway.
Many academic research institutions require their librarians to have not only an MSLIS degree, but also a master?s degree in a particular subject area. As a result, this dual degree efficiently prepares you for a dynamic career as a food studies specialist, archivist, or scholar-librarian in academic and research institutions, specialized libraries, or information centers.
The MSLIS portion of the joint MA/MSLIS is accredited by the American Library Association. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
