About the course

Our Master of Arts degrees in Linguistics and English as a Second Language offer broad training in all core areas of the discipline and prepare you for challenging careers in a variety of industries, including Bioinformatics, Education, Government, Law, Natural language processing. Our M.A. programs also serve as an excellent foundation for doctoral studies in Linguistics and other language-related fields, such as speech pathology, deaf education, audiology or the teaching of English as a second language. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of North Texas

Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree, its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. If admitted, original and official documents will be required before you can register for classes. Official transcripts are required for all U.S. schools attended before processing your application. Transcripts should be sent to the Toulouse Graduate School which will be reviewed and then sent to the academic department for an admission decision. UNT degree program applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency. Minimum IELTS score is 6.0. 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate degree for admission to the Master’s program. Scores on the computer-based TOEFL examination have ranged from 231 to 255, and between 88 and 91 on the Internet-based TOEFL.
