About the course
Completion of our Master of Arts in Business Economics (MABE) program will put you on track for a career as a professional economist in the private or public sector. Our strength is the combination of business economics with training in economic theory, quantitative methods and applied research.
The structure of our program ensures flexibility in your education, allowing you to cater your education to your career aspirations by taking economics courses, MBA electives or courses from Laurier?s Master in International Public Policy at the Balsillie School of International Affairs.

How to apply
Entry requirements for Wilfrid Laurier University
Four-year (honours) bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an approved university. Minimum of second-class honours, or B standing, or equivalent. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 89, with minimum skill scores of 21 in each of the skills tests (speaking, writing, reading and listening). Paper-based TOEFL: minimum of 573. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum score of 7.
