About the course
The School of Art, Art History, and Design offers an M.F.A. in studio art and M.A. in art history. M.F.A. candidates may focus their study in one or a combination of the following studio areas: ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Each graduate student is provided a shared workspace as well as access to general work areas, a computer lab, and a well-equipped wood shop. A resource that enriches the artistic climate of the department is the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden, which houses one of the finest university collections of 20th Century American art. In addition, the Lentz Center for Asian Culture, the Great Plains Art Collection, and the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery offer many visiting exhibitions and lectures.
