About the course

The 3 Plus program is designed for students who do not have an undergraduate degree in architecture. The program can be completed by students in just over three years of study and prepares students for professional practice as an architect. The School of Architecture has a proud tradition of community engagement. Our students and faculty enable communities and clients connect their values with making and the production of space. An Architect should be a dedicated team player that seeks to elevate everyone in the community through collaboration. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Utah

Applicants must demonstrate that before beginning the program they will have completed (1) a bachelor?s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 of better and (2) course work in calculus and physics, as outlined below. This work may be in progress during the application process. Applicants must write and upload an essay in the online application. This and all supporting documents help us get to know your work, your goals, and your abilities as a future architect. Provide three letters of recommendation. These references should speak to you as a candidate, and particularly support your essay of motivation. Beyond your work exhibited in your application dossier, these letters help us get an insight to you as a person. You will be required to upload an unofficial transcript from each institution that you have attended. Uploading unofficial transcripts will significantly decrease the amount of time required to process your application. Official transcripts will be required if you are admitted. Educational History, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): The minimum TOEFLS scores for international students are: IBT: 88, PDT: 875, IELTS: 7.0
