About the course

Build high-level expertise in statistical methods, learn to apply theory and develop strong research and technical skills which are directly transferable to the employment market. A Master of Applied Econometrics provides a competitive edge in the job market, and UQ is one of only two universities in Australia to offer it. You'll develop advanced knowledge in core quantitative skills and econometric methods used in diverse areas of economics and finance. These include macroeconomics, quantitative finance, environmental and natural resource management, health, public sector management, business and economic modelling. How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Queensland

To enrol in the program, a person must hold -the Graduate Certificate in Economic Studies or Graduate Diploma in Economics from this university, or equivalent, with a GPA of 4.5, or a bachelor degree or equivalent as approved by the executive dean with a GPA of 4.5.

　　IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19. TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading.
