The first of its kind in Western Australia, this course combines specialisations in clinical practice with research practice. It is suitable for registered nurses, midwives, paramedics and oral-health therapists wanting to develop distinctive careers involving research activities within clinical settings.
You will learn the skills of evidence-informed clinical practice, including relevant health-care policy standards and strategies that enable translation of evidence into practice.
You will also explore qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods research processes, and related ethical considerations, for applied health research and evaluation practices.
Develop a professional career in an area of rapidly increasing need for Australia’s ageing population. The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Practice specialisation is available to study as a graduate certificate and as part of the Master of Advanced Practice. This specialisation responds to the increasing need for specialist nursing practice in the prevention and management of patients with acute or chronic wounds, ostomies and incontinence. You will also complete two weeks of speciality clinical practice that includes a focus on interprofessional learning and collaboration. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
