The first of its kind in Western Australia, this course combines specialisations in clinical practice with research practice. It is suitable for registered nurses, midwives, paramedics and oral-health therapists wanting to develop distinctive careers involving research activities within clinical settings.
You will learn the skills of evidence-informed clinical practice, including relevant health-care policy standards and strategies that enable translation of evidence into practice.
You will also explore qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods research processes, and related ethical considerations, for applied health research and evaluation practices.
Develop an advanced understanding of leadership roles and responsibilities within professional healthcare contexts. The Clinical Leadership specialisation is available to study as a graduate certificate and as part of the Master of Advanced Practice. An important part of this specialisation is a clinical placement that also emphasises interprofessional learning and collaboration skills. The Clinical Leadership specialisation is offered in semesters 1 and 2 at both Curtin Perth and Curtin Singapore. This specialisation is available to international students studying in Australia on a student visa. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
