About the course
This course will ensure you are well prepared with professional knowledge and skills to work in differing international educational settings or business contexts. Our teaching is informed by leading research and aims to develop your critical awareness and understanding of developments and trends in applied linguistics, second language acquisition research, language teaching methodology and the relationship between these and TCSOL practice.
You may also have opportunities to extend professional learning by visiting schools, engaging in teaching practice, attending talks by guest speakers and participating in external workshops.

Entry requirements for University of Nottingham
All Official Transcripts. IELTS - 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each element. TOEFL (iBT) - 87 (minimum 20 in Speaking and 19 in all other elements). 2:2 (or international equivalent), preferably with some experience of classroom language teaching, or a language teaching methodology component in previous course.
