Joint degrees in communications - offered with the renowned S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications - prepare students for careers in communications law and media public policy. Students may matriculate into one of several programs including advertising (M.A.), Arts Journalism and Communications (M.A.), magazine, newspaper and online journalism (M.A.), Multimedia, Photography & Design (M.A.), and television, radio and film (M.A.). Entry requirements for Syracuse University
The admissions process for master's programs is separate and must be done through the Syracuse University Graduate School. Joint degree students can apply to a master's program either at the same time as to the College of Law, or during the first year of law school. Joint degree students must begin at the College of Law and will consider the College of Law their home school. Once accepted to the master's program, students begin graduate coursework in their second year. Individuals interested in applying to a graduate program offered at Syracuse University must complete an official graduate application and submit one copy of records of all previous post secondary education. The College of Law recommends a TOEFL score in the range of 100 or an IELTS score in the range of 7.0. Your academic credentials confirm that you have been awarded a U.S. bachelor?s degree (or equivalent). Personal statement. R?sum?. Language assessment - All international students with a TA appointment are required to undergo the Graduate School?s English-language-assessment process.
