How to apply

Entry requirements for University of York

PhD applicants are usually required to hold a Bachelor degree in Economics with a 2:1 or 1st class honours (or overseas equivalent) and an MSc in Economics or in a ly related discipline with a high average mark. MSc programmes providing little or no background in Economics and Econometrics or without formal examinations at post-graduate level in Economics and Econometrics do not meet the entry requirement.

　　IELTS: 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in each component

　　TOEFL: 87, with no less than 21 in each component

　　Students wishing to apply for an MPhil or PhD research degree must write a research proposal.
