About the course

The domain of physics ranges from its origins in natural philosophy to the investigations of complex biological systems. Combining the power of mathematics with the art of precision experiments, Physics discovers the mechanisms that interconnect many different aspects of nature. An increasing number of activities in modern science and technology have arisen from a fundamental basis in physics. Physicists are interested in all systems that can be studied by experimental measurements, and described by mathematical models. Physicists at U of T Mississauga interact ly with astronomers, biologists, chemists, geologists and other scientists to study complex problems in these disciplines. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Toronto

If you are attending or have attended a recognized university or college and have a strong academic record, you will be considered for admission based on your postsecondary studies and your most recent annual average, although we will review your entire academic record. Program area prerequisites must be met at, or beyond, the minimum level required for admission from your educational system.

　　The International Baccalaureate Diploma, including at least three Higher Level courses and English HL or SL is required for admission. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either the Standard or Higher Level. For programs with a Math prerequisite, Mathematics SL or HL is required. Math Studies is not acceptable. A total score of 27, excluding bonus points, is required for admission consideration. More competitive programs require a significantly higher score.

　　International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module: The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0. The minimum scores required for the different TOEFL tests are: Internet-based Test: Minimum Requirement: total score of 100 + 22 on Writing, Paper-based Test (discontinued in July 2017) : Minimum Requirement: total score of 600 + 5.0 on TWE
