About the course

Disciplinary graduate diplomas provide an opportunity to acquire additional academic credentials at the graduate level without committing to a full master?s program. These programs allow students to expand on their knowledge of a particular discipline and may also be used for professional development within their careers. Economics is a versatile field. At Memorial University, we offer applied economics courses in a wide variety of areas, including fisheries, petroleum and mining, forestry, environmental, international, monetary, public sector, welfare, labor, and health economics. Our 12 full-time faculty members are dedicated teachers and active researchers in these fields and are keen to share their passion for economics with their students. How to apply

Entry requirements for Memorial University of Newfoundland

Bachelor's degree (minimum second class) in economics or a ly related field (international applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a valid GRE score report)

　　Students who have completed secondary schooling, an undergraduate program, or a graduate program at a recognized institution where the language of instruction is English will normally not require an English proficiency test. If the institution is located outside of Canada and/or the language of instruction is not clearly indicated on the official transcript, applicants are advised to provide a letter from their university stating the language of instruction.

　　TOEFL - Paper-based score of 550 or higher, or Internet-based with a score of 80 or higher.

　　IELTS - An average band score of 6.5 or higher on the academic test.
