About the course

The Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting provides a sound introduction to procedures in accounting and finance. It can also launch you onto the path towards a Master of Professional Accounting.

　　Designed to develop the technical, analytical and creative skills you’ll need to support a successful career in accounting and finance. This course includes units of study in accounting systems and reporting, economics, business modelling and analysis, and corporations and contract law.

　　Our strong industry links means your experiential learning is relevant and practice with real-world cases, and robust discussions with practising professionals.

　　This course provides an entry level into university study with admission based on your previous study and/or relevant full-time work experience.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Swinburne University of Technology

Standard entry:- Successful completion of one of the following:

　　a recognised bachelor degree in business

　　a recognised bachelor degree plus 3 years relevant work experience

　　Masters Qualifying Program

　　Non-graduate special entry- Applicants without a recognised bachelor degree but who have 5 years relevant professional experience in accounting, financial planning or business.

　　Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%

　　minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0

　　TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20

　　Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 58 (no communicative skills less than 50)

　　any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency.
