By pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Special Education, you'll have unique opportunities to: Become involved in community-based programming, Network with professionals in special education and other disciplines, Participate in interdepartmental studies. The rigorous curriculum allows you to participate in formal coursework, independent study, internships, practicums and dissertation research. As you progress through the program, you can enroll in specialized coursework focusing on autism intervention, emotional/behavioral disorders or mild/moderate disabilities. Entry requirements for University of North Texas
Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree, its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. If admitted, original and official documents will be required before you can register for classes. Official transcripts are required for all U.S. schools attended before processing your application. Transcripts should be sent to the Toulouse Graduate School which will be reviewed and then sent to the academic department for an admission decision. UNT degree program applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency. Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 79 iBT, 213 computer, 550pBT, Minimum IELTS score is 6.0. 3.5 GPA in Master’s-level studies for admission to Doctoral programs
