About the course

The Department of Physics offers students the opportunity to study with leading researchers in astrophysics, biophysics, solid-state physics, particle physics and physics education research as well as to participate in international collaborations. Coursework for the PhD in Physics includes advanced training in core areas of physics and topics of current research. How to apply

Entry requirements for Drexel University

Applicants may only apply to one program. All documents submitted by you or on your behalf in support of this application for admission to Drexel University become the property of the University, and will under no circumstances be released to you or any other party. Please note, an application fee of $65 U.S. is required.

　　Provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

　　GRE test scores are required, minimum Quantitative 150 (650 on previous 800-point scale), Verbal 150 (450 on previous 800-point scale).

　　GRE Subject Test is required for PhD applicants to be considered for assistantships. The deadline to be considered for assistantships is January 1.

　　TOEFL scores are required for international applicants or applicants who earned a degree outside the U.S. (minimum scores: 100/600/250). Scores will be reviewed based on section scores and total scores. IELTS scores may be submitted in lieu of TOEFL scores (minimum Overall Band Score: 7.0).

　　The minimum IELTS band score is 7.0.

　　A GPA of 3.0 or better from undergraduate coursework is required.
