Entry requirements for Howard University

A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is preferred, and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in major course work is required. Each graduate department may have additional ?special admission requirements? which are noted on this page. Completed on-line application and signature page or download the paper application. Official transcripts must be submitted directly from the Registrar?s Office from ALL colleges and universities attended. Statement of Academic and Research Interest. Three letters of recommendation

　　Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.00 for graduate

　　TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) a score of 90 on the Internet base (IBT) is required for applicants whose native language is not English. Official TOEFL scores must be sent directly from ETS. The TOEFL test is only waived if the applicant has received a degree in the U.S. In lieu of the TOEFL (if not offered in your country), applicants may submit results from IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of a 6.5.
