About the course
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. Research may be undertaken in the areas of pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice. Prospective graduate students are encouraged to visit the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences website to review the facilities available and specific research areas of our faculty. The minimum requirement for a PhD is 12 credit hours of graduate level coursework. The Department may approve a reduction to 6 credit hours of graduate level coursework for students entering the PhD program after completing a previous graduate degree. Departmental approval of the reduction will depend on the student’s background and a recommendation from the supervisor and supervisory committee. Students must pass a candidacy exam and successfully prepare and defend a thesis on an approved research topic.
