About the course

The MIT Microbiology Graduate PhD Program is an interdepartmental, and interdisciplinary program at MIT. MIT has a long-standing tradition of excellence in microbiological research, and there are over 50 faculty from several different departments and divisions who study or use microbes in significant ways in their research. The program integrates educational resources across the participating departments, to build connections among faculty with shared interests from different units, and to build an educational community for training students in the study of microbial systems. Entry requirements for Massachusetts Institute of Technology

In the Department of Biology, the Master of Science is not a prerequisite for a program of study leading to the doctorate. To be admitted as a regular graduate student, an applicant must have earned a bachelor?s degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor?s degree is awarded before they enroll at MIT. . IELTS - 7.0.
