　　The interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree in Materials Science requires a total of 72 hours with a minimum of 24 hours of formal course work, of which 12 hours will be from the materials science core. Entry requirements for Vanderbilt University

Submission of scores on the GRE is required.

　　Applicants must upload an unofficial copy of transcripts from prior undergraduate and graduate work as part of their online application for admission.

　　The Statement of Purpose, an essay about why you are applying to the program you have selected, is required.
