About the course

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with a major in Environmental Science is a scholarly research program of 90 hours at the 5000 and 6000 levels beyond the bachelor's degree or 60 hours beyond the master's degree, including a 12-hour dissertation. This area of research deals with both the learning and teaching of science. We qualitatively and quantitatively examine the barriers that affect each side of the paradigm, introduce intervention strategies to address them, and quantify and communicate results. Furthermore, we examine the various aspects of scientific communication, how science is communicated to learners, the public, policy makers, etc, and how these individuals use science knowledge/ information in their decision making processes. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of North Texas

Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree, its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. If admitted, original and official documents will be required before you can register for classes. Official transcripts are required for all U.S. schools attended before processing your application. Transcripts should be sent to the Toulouse Graduate School which will be reviewed and then sent to the academic department for an admission decision. UNT degree program applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency. Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 79 iBT, 213 computer, 550pBT, Minimum IELTS score is 6.0. 3.5 GPA in Master’s-level studies for admission to Doctoral programs
