Select one of three future-focused concentrations- Bioengineering- Immerse yourself in advances in micro- and nano-technologies, wireless communication and power transfer, sensor miniaturization, on-chip real-time signal processing, and mathematical modeling of biological systems that will allow you to develop smart, high-performance systems that are dependable, efficient, and secure. Electrical and Computer Engineering- Tackle fundamentals and advanced theory in robotics, microelectronics, micro and nano systems, control systems, image and signal processing, computer networks, and radar and communications systems. Mechanical Engineering- Research and coursework provide technology-infused training in solid mechanics, heat transfer and thermofluid systems, energy systems, biomechanics and biomedical devices, micro/nano sensors, controls, and dynamic systems. How to apply

Entry requirements for New York Institute of Technology

The Graduate Admission Committee of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences will review all applications and decide whether to grant admission. The general requirement for admission into this Ph.D. program is as follows:

  For students with B.S., a minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0 from a regionally accredited university

  For students with M.S., a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 from a regionally accredited university

  A minimum GRE score of 300 is required

  For international students, NYIT's requirement on acceptable TOEFL IBT score is 79, or 6.5 on IELTS.
