About the course
The Ph.D. program is designed to balance the need for a broad foundation in communication scholarship with the need to specialize in a field of interest for the dissertation. Program requirements facilitate the achievement of these two goals, but the primary responsibility for program development lies with the graduate student and his or her supervisory committee. The program provides the student and his or her committee with the flexibility necessary to tailor the program to the student?s needs and interests. The communication discipline began as the study of rhetoric, and some of the courses in this area explore rhetorical theory. Other courses in this concentration include both rhetorical criticism and modern critical theories of communication. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
