About the course

The Department of Chemistry offers three graduate degrees, which provide access to flexible coursework with the option to perform research focused on analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. Multidisciplinary research projects include bio-organic and bioinorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials chemistry and chemical physics, among other possibilities.

　　Students may earn the master?s degree through a combination of graduate coursework and research, including a published thesis (M.S thesis option) or through graduate coursework only (M.S. non-thesis option). The Ph.D. degree in chemistry provides a combination of coursework with a research-intensive experience aimed at developing independent researchers via original research.
