About the course

OSU's Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemical engineering is a discipline focused on conceiving and designing processes to produce, transform and transport materials-beginning with experimentation in the laboratory followed by implementation of the technology. At OSU, we develop human resources, professional knowledge, and the infrastructure through which chemical engineering can contribute to human welfare. We expect to maintain national recognition for our contributions. How to apply

Entry requirements for Oklahoma State University

An original transcript from each college or university attended (all transcripts must be official with the college's or registrar's original seal and should show any degrees completed)

　　A TOEFL or IELTS score (if required - please see the English Language Proficiency for Admissions section at the OSU Graduate College Application site). Either examination must have been taken within the last two years.

　　Official score report from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test. Note: OSU's GRE institution code is 6546, and School of Chemical Engineering department code is 1001. GRE scores are reportable for five years following your test date. GRE scores are not required for students with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited, domestic program.

　　Statement of Background and Goals (2-page statement indicating why you have applied to the Chemical Engineering Graduate Program at OSU, and specific research area(s) and/or faculty member(s) you would like to work with, if admitted.)

　　The names and email addresses for at least three references to provide letters of recommendation

　　For admission without qualification, a GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or the equivalent is expected in undergraduate coursework or a 3.00 in any graduate or professional coursework already completed.

　　Applicants for whom English is a second language are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of spoken English usually by submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score. TOEFL score of 79 (internet based test) 550 (paper based test) is required. Alternatively, an official IELTS, academic stream, examination with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 will satisfy the English proficiency requirements for admission to a graduate program.
