About the course

Biomedical Informatics is an area of study within the Division of Medical Sciences. Prospective students apply through the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (Harvard Griffin GSAS). In the online application, select ?Division of Medical Sciences? as your program choice and select Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics in the area of study menu.

　　This program trains you to be future leaders in the growing fields of bioinformatics and genomics. You will receive rigorous training in both computational methods and biological principles to conduct original research in the development of novel algorithms, models, and technologies to address fundamental biological questions.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Harvard University

Candidates for BIG must have completed a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative science or a Bachelor's degree with a substantial minor in engineering or physical science.

　　We require a minimum of 100 on the TOEFL iBT.

　　Graduate Record Examination (GRE General Test) scores are strongly recommended. The GRE should be taken no later than October. Specific subject tests are not required
