About the course

The Astronomy Department at NMSU offers programs leading to the Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Graduate courses cover topics in astrophysics, stellar atmospheres, observational techniques, the interstellar medium, galactic structure, star formation and evolution, extragalactic objects, cosmology, and solar system studies. How to apply

Entry requirements for New Mexico State University

A graduate international student must hold at minimum a four year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and is able to demonstrate English proficiency, both written and oral by submitting an official TOEFL or IELTS score report. TOEFL 79 IBT, 550 PBT, 6.5 IELTS. All transcripts from undergraduate and, if applicable, other graduate institutions Application: For admission to the NMSU Astronomy Graduate Program, you must apply through the NMSU Graduate School electronic application system.
