About the course

Using traditional field surveying, archival research, and cutting-edge digital tools, the practice of Heritage Documentation and Visualization records and studies historic sites. Of particular interest are sites with fragile building fabric that are facing demolition by neglect, vernacular architecture of the American South, and sites related to significant events within the civil rights movement. This field seeks to sequentially capture the state of historic sites, test the limits of heritage BIM, and collate information into meaningful platforms for expanded public access and interpretation. Entry requirements for Georgia Institute of Technology

You will be asked to provide the email contact information for 3 recommenders. Your recommenders will receive an automated email asking that they complete an online letter of recommendation for you. A copy of your transcript from each college attended since high school to be uploaded with your application (These may be unofficial copies. If admitted, you will be required to provide official copies.). Scores of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for applicants whose first language is other than English(online). The paper-based minimum is 577 and internet-based is 90, with minimum section scores of 19 or higher on each skill area. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (online). The program looks for GRE scores of 600 or better (on each of the general tests unless a student?s record documents substantial professional or scholarly achievement as evidence of exceptional ability). IELTS exam - Overall score minimum of 7, with minimum section scores for reading 6.5, listening 6.5, speaking 6.5 and writing 5.5.
