About the course
The Applied Physics Ph.D. program joins the McCormick School of Engineering and the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences to offer research opportunities from the departments of Physics & Astronomy, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, and Materials Science & Engineering. The Applied Physics Graduate Program is a hub for collaboration between 9 different departments. The program is designed to prepare graduates for professional careers in science and technology, either in academics or in industry and allow students to complete their PhD studies in five years. Entry requirements for Northwestern University
Official transcripts of work completed or in progress at all colleges or universities attended. A minimum TOEFL score of 577 (paper test), 233 (computer test), or 90 (Internet-based test) is required for admission to Northwestern.
