About the course

The PhD program in Accounting is offered by the Research School of Accounting (RSA). The program draws upon the supervision expertise of researchers within RSA, and offers various opportunities for higher degree by research (HDR) candidates to immerse themselves in the School’s vibrant research community.

　　While the program focuses on preparing candidates for an academic career, many of the skills it provides are readily transferable to senior industry positions in professional services, business analysis, accounting, finance, auditing, tax, commercial law, and quantitative analysis. How to apply

Entry requirements for The Australian National University

To be admitted to the Doctor of Philosophy program you will be required to have completed at least a four-year Australian degree or equivalent with a result of first class honours or upper second class honours or such other qualification (being a qualification that is equivalent or superior to such a degree) as the Delegated Authority determines.

　　Academic IELTS - An overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component of the test.

　　TOEFL PBT - A score of 570 with a TWE score of 4.5

　　TOEFL iBT - An overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening.
