About the course

CCM?s Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ offers advanced organ students the opportunity to hone technical expertise, musicianship and knowledge in the center of Cincinnati, a next-generation city revered for the arts. With access to seven pipe organs on campus and many of the finest instruments in the region, CCM offers doctoral students opportunities to learn from and perform with esteemed musicians in world-class facilities.

  The performance-based curriculum includes weekly private lessons with faculty mentors, chamber music coaching and many opportunities to gain hands-on experience. DMA Organ students perform solo and chamber music degree recitals, complete coursework in repertory, pedagogy, performance preparation, musicology, research and writing techniques and produce a final scholarly document or project. CCM?s unique cognate program enables students to develop a secondary field of expertise. Our faculty of eminent artist-teachers offer students one-on-one attention and opportunities to perform in the tri-state region and globally. Entry requirements for University of Cincinnati

Obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree (3.2 minimum GPA) from an English-speaking university, or a passing score of level 112 at an English Language School (ELS).
