About the course

In the Ph.D. program, we will give you the training and experience you need to become a scholar. You will strengthen your research and teaching skills by working side by side with our acclaimed faculty and conducting your own original research—preparing you for a career in academia. Our program is flexible, so you can adapt it to your interests. You can choose a minor field in another area of business (e.g., strategy, management, etc.) or a minor field outside the Kelley School to complement your major in marketing (e.g., psychology, statistics, economics, etc.) Most students complete the program in four to five years. How to apply

Entry requirements for Indiana University - Bloomington

At least three recommendations are to be submitted through the online application system before the application deadline. Letters of reference with each recommendation are to be submitted for both US and international students.

　　Arrange to take either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the general test portion of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). These tests are administered at numerous locations throughout the United States and in many other countries. Official GMAT or GRE test results must be no older than five years from the date of application, and submitted directly from the GMAT or GRE educational testing services.

　　At the time of application, we require a scanned copy of the official transcripts from each postsecondary school you have attended, regardless of whether you obtained a degree.

　　You must submit a personal statement detailing academic, career, and personal objectives, which will be read by professors in the appropriate field.

　　We require a minimum internet-based TOEFL score of 100 and 600 on the paper-based TOEFL.
