About the course

A Diploma of Information Technology (International) is a program with a duration of 12 months. This program is for individuals who may not have met the direct entry requirements to the relevant UOW bachelor program, or the Diploma of Information Technology Fast Track (International). This program is also appropriate for individuals who would prefer to extend their study commitments over the whole year and qualify for university entrance in a less intensive time frame.

　　The Diploma of Information Technology Standard Session can get you guaranteed entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Business Information Systems or Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW), or into the first year second session of the Bachelor of Technology at the University of Wollongong.

　　In the Diploma of Information Technology Standard Session you will address these fundamental questions and gain the skills to be better prepared to succeed at your UOW bachelor. You’ll explore various disciplines, including programming, systems analysis, networks and web technologies and graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree.

　　We offer three intakes a year, allowing you the flexibility to choose when you commence. The duration of this course is 12 months full-time, or part-time equivalent. See the course outline for more information.
