About the course
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) form an integral part of any commercial building construction and have a major impact on the built environment, human comfort and energy use. If you have an interest in this industry then completing qualification is a great start to a career in this expanding industry.
During your studies you will develop a number of skills including the ability to design and implement HVAC systems using thermodynamics principles, an understanding of psychometric processes and the principles of energy management. You will have opportunities to use building information modelling software, produce engineering drawings and understand the requirements of workplace health and safety. On completion of your studies you will have all the basic fundamentals and confidence to work with a number of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems used across a number of industries.
