Humber’s Electrical Engineering Technician – Control Systems diploma program focuses on three major areas in electrical engineering

  power industry,process instrumentation and control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

  Our courses are designed in collaboration with an industry advisory panel, ensuring you learn current and relevant electrical engineering topics. The program blends classroom theory with laboratory work on subjects such as electric devices and circuits, digital fundamentals, power generation and distribution, electrical computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), electrical code, electrical machines and their control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial communications.Complex and challenging assignments prepare you for the realities of a control systems and electrical engineering career.

  Your Career

  Jump-start your career in the power, manufacturing, automotive or food sectors as a control specialist, PLC Programmer or maintenance technician.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent). Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent). Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 for paper-based test or 80 (20L, 20W, 20S, 20R) for internet-based test or IELTS with an overall 6.0 andNo band below 5.5.
