About the course
The Level 1 Certificate in Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology prepares students for the emerging semiconductor manufacturing industries that support semiconductor Fab Units, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDS), and electronics packaging. The program will give graduates the knowledge, skills and abilities to operate a variety of nanofabrication equipment, understand scientific principles and the behavior of matter at the atomic level in chemical, as well as biological and molecular systems. This course of study prepares students for a career in the field of Nanotechnology and material science. Graduate students are employed as entry-level manufacturing operators, test technicians and materials technicians. Graduate students can also continue their education towards a bachelor degree.
