About the course
Students entering Medicine at St Andrews have the unique opportunity to graduate after three years at St Andrews with a BSc Honours degree in Medicine before moving on to one of the University's partner medical schools to complete their training as a doctor and graduate with an MBChB/MBBS. The course provides students with an excellent scientific foundation for clinical practice, helps develops ethical understanding and decision making skills and provides early, relevant clinical experience in a highly supportive educational environment. The BSc (Hons) in Medicineprovides you with a thoroughknowledge of the foundationsof medical science, whilstdeveloping skills required by‘Tomorrow’s Doctors’.Depending on where youintend to undertake your finalthree years towards an MB ChB/MBBS degree, the A100 degreeprogramme offers three differentapplication routes (Scotland,England and No Preference) forHome and RUK students. If youare ‘overseas’ for fee purposes,you will progress to theUniversity of Manchester.

Entry requirements for University of St Andrews
The Faculty of Medicine require an IELTS Academic of 7.0 overall with 7.0 in each component. Your IELTS must be the Academic version of the test.
SQA Highers:
• Standard entry grades AAAAB
• Minimum entry grades AAABB
• Gateway to Medicine minimum
entry grades BBBB
Must include Chemistry and (Biology
