Earth, our complex and fascinating planet. Develop your understanding of its geology and you will have the knowledge to be able to address important issues such as the impact of climate change and safeguarding the planet for future generations.

　　Studying on our Geology BSc provides you with in-depth knowledge in areas such as, how the Earth was created, how life evolved, and why it looks the way it does, as well as identifying its natural resources and how these can be conserved and exploited. You will have the opportunity to learn about many different aspects of science such as chemistry, biology, physics and explore other subjects such as geography and environmental science. Plus, Geologists are in high demand as society continues to look for natural resources for energy and materials, and the skills you will gain on this programme can lead to many exciting career opportunities.

　　You will have the opportunity to work with, and learn from, businesses, subject experts and external industry speakers, providing you with up-to-date insights into different areas of geology and the industry skillset currently in demand. This industry knowledge means that you will be well placed for securing employment with, for example, geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancies.
