About the course
Combine practical management knowledge with analytical economics skills and gain a competitive edge in your future management career. You?ll explore different perspectives on similar issues, such as the role of investment within the economy and its influence on the business cycle. You?ll learn the principles of economics and their application to a range of practical and topical issues, while gaining a solid grounding in diverse aspects of management and understanding the context within which modern business is conducted. To help you gain quantitative skills, you?ll also study mathematics and statistics, along with studying econometrics to extend your knowledge of statistical techniques and research methods. You choose from a range of economics and management options to consolidate your conceptual and practical knowledge. You also benefit from having an Academic Success Adviser who can help you with academic study skills including critical thinking, presenting, academic writing and note-making. You can broaden your experience further with an option to study abroad or apply for a professional placement year.

GCSEs You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 6 (or grade B). We will also consider applicants with grade 5 in Maths if you are taking A-level Accounting, Business, Chemistry, Economics, Maths, Physics, Psychology, an LIBF Diploma in Financial Studies or Level 3 Certificate in Core Maths (grade B). AAT accounting qualifications can be used as an alternative to the grade 6 GCSE Maths requirement. You should also have a broad range of GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects. International Baccalaureate Typical offer 30 -32 points overall from the full IB Diploma. IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall, including at least 5.5 in each component Toefl ibt 80 overall, including at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 17 in Writing
