About the course
Computers are a ubiquitous part of our lives and there’s never been a more exciting time to design and develop the systems and software that permeates our work and leisure. The digital revolution is here. We live in a connected world, where even household appliances and vehicles can be connected to the internet and controlled by software. Rapid data communication and increasingly powerful devices provide exciting opportunities for the development of new applications. As well as studying the theoretical aspects of computer science such as algorithms, human-computer interaction and computational thinking, you’ll apply your understanding to developing solutions to problems in traditional software development and artificial intelligence. There’s an emphasis on software development, including databases and user interface design, and optional modules covering everything from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the Internet of Things.
