BSc (Hons) Business Economics

About the course

BSc Business Economics provides a thorough training in economic analysis with an additional focus on business strategies in the modern marketplace. On this degree, you’ll discover how insights from economics can guide both companies and regulators, to increase profits and to serve the interests of consumers. You’ll become an expert in economic and financial modelling techniques and statistical analysis. You’ll benefit particularly from UEA’s reputation and expertise in the specialisms of industrial organisation and competition policy.

On this Business Economics course, you'll combine a rounded training in economics with a focus on market environments and on business strategy. Apart from core study in microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic modelling and statistics, you'll also acquire specialist knowledge in economics of corporate finance and in industrial organisation. You’re likely to also choose modules that explore areas such as labour economics or competition in the digital age. You may then choose to explore other business applications of economics, such as the business and economics of sport, or to broaden your knowledge of economics generally by choosing from the full suite of modules on offer.
