Biological sciences form the basis of many new areas of science and technology. They are the foundation of our understanding of a diverse range of subjects – from evolution, genetics and diversity to medicine, drug and human development.

  On this course, you can choose to study human, medical or genetics and molecular biology.

  Practical work includes a laboratory and/or field-based project, a data project or a systematic review. Project work might be based in a laboratory or organisation outside the University. How to apply

Entry requirements for Kingston University London

Points: minimum 104/112, depending on qualifications, and on joint honours combination

  Units: to include two science A-levels or equivalent

  Subjects:

  A-level 104 points: Biology minimum grade C required. Science also includes Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychology and Geography. General Studies not accepted.

  BTEC Extended Diploma: minimum 112 (grades DDM) points in appropriate science subjects.

  GCSE: Candidates are normally required to hold five GCSE subjects grades A*–C (or comparable numeric score under the newly reformed GCSE gradings) including English Language, Mathematics and Science.

  Tariff points for AS levels completed but not carried forward to A2 level are included in points total.

  Academic IELTS equivalent: 6.0

  TOEFL iBT: 80 (R=20, L=19, S=21, W=20)
