About the course

Coaching is an exciting and rewarding area of sport in New Zealand. Coaches work with athletes of all skill levels, from beginners to high-performance athletes, and there’s a large number of coaching positions available in the areas of performance analysis and performance sports.Develop the skills to become a top coach. You gain a sound understanding of the coaching process, and work with athletes of different skill levels through your workplace experience. There’s strong input from our industry partners, including Aktive Auckland Sport and Recreation, national and regional sport organisations and clubs, primary, intermediate and secondary schools, and regional sports trusts. How to apply

Entry requirements for Auckland University of Technology

IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher, or equivalent. TOEFL IBT – 80.

　　Equivalent to New Zealand Year 13.

　　International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.

　　Cambridge International Examination - a minimum of 120 points on the UCAS Tariff* at A or AS level from any subjects which are broadly equivalent to the subjects in the NCEA approved subject list. Must include at least three subjects (excluding Thinking Skills) with grades D or above. Numeracy: A minimum grade of D in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) mathematics or any mathematics subject at AS or A level. Literacy: A minimum grade of E in English Language and/or English Literature subject at AS or A level.

　　General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C gradeor better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.

　　Must be capable of meeting the Vulnerable Children’s Act (VCA Act) requirements, including police clearance.
