It's a dynamic and exhilarating field that uses data and scientific principles and techniques to help people build strength, regain movement, prevent injuries and perform at their peak. With Australia's ageing population and an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, we need sport and exercise science professionals more than ever before. La Trobe's Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science gives you the scientific knowledge and practical skills to improve health and wellbeing.
You'll gain a detailed understanding of the science behind training. Explore the strengths and limitations of the human body while building strong foundations in physiology, anatomy and biomechanics. Then build industry contacts during 140 hours of industry placement with leading organisations such as Carlton Football Club, Melbourne City and Exercise Research Australia.
Apply theoretical knowledge and skills to professional practice within a range of sports and exercise science practice environments
Demonstrate the application of a range of technical skills and their relationship to the theoretical concepts of sports and exercise science practice

How to apply
Entry requirements for La Trobe University
Entry into a Bachelor Degree program at La Trobe University requires completion of Australian Year 12 (or international equivalent) with a certain grade, and meeting subject pre-requisites (if applicable). IELTS (Academic)- Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0. TOEFL Paper based- Overall score of 550 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English. TOEFL Internet based (iBT)- Overall score of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing.
