About the course
Planning is a systematic, creative way to influence the future of neighborhoods, cities, rural and metropolitan areas, even the country and the world. Urban planning is a profession with the primary purpose of creating great places. Planners value, preserve and create spaces that are important to who we are as individuals and as a community. This professional and practical program provides students with the knowledge and skills to thrive as planning professionals. Students typically take a required core of 10 courses supplemented by electives selected in consultation with a program adviser for a total of 36 credits. Entry requirements for Eastern Michigan University
High school students: Submit official high school/secondary transcript with English translation (students cannot do their own translations) in an official, school-sealed envelope.
