About the course
Designed to provide you with the high-leverage skills to become an effective high school physics teacher, the Secondary Education, BSE - Physics option will challenge you to tackle some of the world?s greatest problems while preparing you to teach in today?s high schools. Through a series of science education courses that promote effective science teaching, you will discover how students learn science. Small class sizes allow for collaboration with faculty and classmates and field-based courses will allow you to learn and directly apply educational theories. You will use the knowledge and skills obtained in this program to: Interpret and interrelate important science concepts, ideas, and applications in the fields of licensure. Recognize and employ science-learning approaches for all students. Plan for engaging all students in science learning by setting appropriate goals that are consistent with theories of learning as well as national science standards. Entry requirements for University of Central Missouri
All undergraduate students are required to upload unofficial transcripts to their student portal (created upon application submission) and submit official transcripts to our office. These transcripts will be used for advisement purposes. TOEFL exam score of 61 IBT or 500 PBT, IELTS exam score of 5.5.
