About the course
The residential landscape design and construction major deals with design, construction, and maintenance of residential and small-scale commercial landscapes. In this major, students receive a well-rounded education that integrates aesthetic design with applied installation and maintenance skills. Students gain hands-on experience designing and planning landscape projects in addition to pouring concrete, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, and all aspects of small-scale residential landscape production from start to finish. The core curriculum includes preparatory courses in chemistry, mathematics, biology, design, and graphics. How to apply
Entry requirements for Utah State University
Official high school/secondary school transcripts with grades from the last three years with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or 656 total on the General Education Development (GED) exam (550 Battery Average prior to 2014). Some majors may have a higher GPA requirement. Internet-based (iBT) exam score of 71 or paper-based exam score of 525. IELTS score of 6.0 overall band score with a minimum of 5.0 on each subscale.
