About the course

We offer an alternative degree curriculum to Traditional Physics through the Applied Physics B.S. Program II option. This practical program prepares you for high tech jobs in industry and medicine and is an excellent precursor to graduate programs in engineering and other physics applications. Applied Physics provides a more flexible curriculum that can be tailored to your vocational goals. The plan emphasizes hands-on instruction such as instrumentation laboratory courses that provide students with experience using industry-standard tools. You will gain valuable, real-world experience in a chosen area of interest through paid summer internships in industry, academia, or national laboratories. How to apply

Entry requirements for Indiana University - Bloomington

You must earn a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma) to be eligible for admission consideration. Students who are homeschooled or attend an alternative school should submit credentials that demonstrate equivalent levels of achievement and ability. Incoming freshmen must submit complete final secondary school transcripts.SAT scores for admitted freshmen is typically 1180–1380, range of ACT scores is typically 25–32.
