About the course

The Physics major is the study of matter, energy, force and motion and the way in which they relate to one another. It provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance, industry and other professions. The Bachelor of Science in Physics prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance, industry, and other professions. Within the BS degree, students may choose a concentration if desired. The available concentrations include Computational Physics or Pre-Health Care. The Computational Physics Concentration emphasizes interdisciplinary coursework in physics and computer science. It is geared toward students with an interest in computational physics. The Pre-Health Care Concentration is for students with an interest in medicine, dentistry, or other health related professions, and it satisfies the medical/dental pre-professional program requirements.
